Land Science is delighted to support STEM learning initiatives to encourage young people to engage with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). We are currently working with University of Brighton and University of Portsmouth Engineering Departments, plus our local sixth form college to assist with STEM related activities.
Our past work in this area included participation in STEM Sussex, the STEM outreach department at the University of Brighton, which works in partnership with business and industry to support young people and their teachers in developing awareness of STEM career paths and opportunities. In addition, we were excited to be associated with ‘Science Without Borders,’ a Brazilian Government scholarship programme which aims to send up to 10,000 Brazilian students on STEM related courses at top universities around the world. The UK Scheme (Ciência sem Fronteiras no Reino Unido) was the first large scale student mobility programme operated in the UK.
